I Am Water.
I am water. I am the sea, constantly pouring out my oceans into your earth. When you are thirsty, I give you me. I bring you salt and sand and silt. You hold me in your rich loam, and together we create. I flow to the crops planned within you to ensure your harvest. I help your gifts bloom out of you.
I am water. My rivers stretch across you, opening up your unruly terrains up for discovery and your untouched plains for growth. I find my way to the deepest parts of you through quiet streams. When the hard, rocky parts of you refuse me, I defy logic to push geysers through you, bursting with awe and awakening to remind you of my power, and quieting to remind you of my softness.
I am water. When others walk away with fragments of your soul on their soles, I wash the pieces back to you. I am always there. In the small droplets in the wind, in the dew of the morning, in the midsummer rain, in winter’s frozen wonder. I am water. Your sustainer.
